Driving Sustainable
Collaborations in Africa
Collaborative Value Partners Africa (CVPAfrica), led by Dr. Wamuyu Mahinda, is a social enterprise committed to accelerating growth in Africa through collaborative efforts and shared resources. Drawing on her doctoral research with over 100 social entrepreneurs across 19 African countries, Dr. Wamuyu champions principles for successful collaboration: setting collective goals, being open to learning, providing quality coaching, sharing information promptly, negotiating objectively, resolving conflicts effectively, and embracing social capital. CVPAfrica aims to establish and support partnerships that make a real and lasting impact by leveraging well-thought-out, homegrown, systemic, and organised methodologies.
As an Enterprise Support Organization (ESO), CVPAfrica believes in the private sector's critical role in solving social challenges. The YouthEmploy Africa program fosters collaboration among the private sector, civil society, youth, and women to create 5 million jobs for youth and women by 2030. CVPAfrica’s social impact measurement model, the ICE Index, uses a three-pronged approach, acknowledging the need for a multi-dimensional framework to overcome traditional limitations in impact measurement in Africa.
