FarmRise
FarmRise is CVPAfrica’s platform for building youth-centred livelihood models rooted in enterprise, value addition, and market access. It was created from the belief that young people need more than training alone — they need viable economic models that connect productive activity to real demand, stronger incomes, and long-term opportunity. Through FarmRise, we design and support practical, locally grounded models that combine production, aggregation, value addition, partnerships, and access to market so that livelihoods can become more attractive, more structured, and more bankable.
FarmRise Mbuzi
FarmRise Mbuzi is the first flagship model under FarmRise, focused on building youth livelihoods through goat-based enterprise. It is designed to show how young people can participate in agriculture through a more structured and commercially viable system — one that goes beyond primary production to include aggregation, quality management, value addition, and access to premium markets.
The model brings together youth producers, shared systems, and market-facing products in a way that helps create stronger incomes and more investable rural enterprises. At its core, FarmRise Mbuzi is about making agriculture more attractive, more productive, and more financially credible for youth by linking enterprise design with real economic opportunity. As the model grows, it is intended not only to support livelihoods, but also to demonstrate a scalable way of building rural wealth through youth-centred agribusiness.
